About and Team
Why Solstis exists.
College should be about growth, learning, and independence. It shouldn't be about worrying.
How it started
“The idea for Solstis really took shape after conversations with a few friends who work as EMTs. They all said the same thing: so many of the calls they responded to weren't true emergencies; people just didn't know what to do, and they were scared. Solstis was born from that, not as a replacement for medical care, but as a way to support people in those uncertain, in-between moments.”
The team
The people building Solstis.

Jason Wexler
Founder and CEO
Hi, I'm Jason Wexler. I've always been drawn to the intersection of creativity and problem-solving, and after studying Film and Business at Boston University, I started Solstis with the goal of making first aid feel more approachable and intuitive for everyday people.

Jake Lee
AI Architect
Hi, I'm Jake Lee. My fascination with building began with LEGO, and that early curiosity led me to study Computer Engineering at Boston University, where I developed a deep interest in how software and technology could be used to solve real-world problems.
At Solstis, I lead the architecture and development of our AI systems, integrating speech recognition, natural language processing, and real-time reasoning into one cohesive experience. My goal is to make technology feel approachable and supportive.

Zachary Eig
Director of Communication and User Insights
Originally from Rockville, Maryland, I'm a student at Boston University pursuing a degree in International Relations with a minor in Political Science. Through my fraternity, I was introduced to Solstis and was immediately drawn to its mission of making first aid more accessible.
I'm eager to shape the way people understand and connect with Solstis. By focusing on messaging strategy, language testing, and user perception, I help refine the brand voice so it resonates with users and builds confidence.

Theo Delgizzi
Chief Technical Officer
I've always been drawn to both software and healthcare. At the University of Michigan, I split my time between pre-med courses and computer science, completed EMT training, and spent time shadowing surgeons in the OR. I ultimately chose software, but my passion for medicine never left.
After graduating, I worked as a software developer for the U.S. Army, building machine learning models to help predict injuries. Now, as CTO of Solstis, I'm excited to help create tools that give people confidence and clarity when it matters most.

Andrew Trestman
Head of Financial Strategy
Andrew Trestman is a finance student at Boston University with hands-on experience in investment research, advisory, and capital markets. He brings a strong foundation in financial strategy and business analysis to Solstis, where he focuses on building sustainable growth and turning innovative ideas into practical solutions.

Mia Wang
UI/UX Designer
Hi, I'm Mia Wang. I'm a digital product designer with a background in communication strategy and emerging media. At Solstis, I focus on creating intuitive, user-centered interfaces, and my experience in public relations and design helps me bridge visual clarity with strategic communication.

Ethan Wert
Lead Hardware Engineer
Hey, I'm Ethan! I'm a Mechanical Engineer, recently graduated from Boston University. I'm responsible for bringing Solstis to life, creating the housing and hardware for its prototype.
Plenty of CAD design went into visualizing the product's aesthetics and planning for functionality, then 3D printing, laser cutting, vinyl cutting, and electrical construction. I'm grateful to be working on a vision I believe in.

Suraj Nellore
Director of Strategic Initiatives
My name is Suraj Nellore, and I'm a student at Boston University pursuing dual degrees in Business and Advertising. During my time at BU, I've been involved in several entrepreneurial ventures, and I've come to realize that the true power of business lies in creating meaningful social impact.
While working with this team on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, we discovered in conversations a clear need for a better product in the first aid space. I'm excited to contribute to the strategy behind it.
